Want to start wearing colour but not sure where to start?
Since colour became big again, I’m adding absolutely everywhere I can – including my beauty routine. Yep, I’m talking yellow nail polish.
The colour yellow may not be at the top of your list for polish shades, but you may or may not be surprised to hear that it can look really, really good if you pick the right one.
I’ve started looking into colour analysis theory, which is basically a way of working out which colours suit you best.
It’s not a case of one colour not suiting you; instead, there will be a certain season of colours that work best. For some, it will be bright yellow. For others, a more pale shade will look more flattering on the skin.
Long story short, there really is a shade for everyone and you just need to work out which one works for you.
If you’re still not sure on yellows, you may be interested to know that it featured on the SS22 runways more than a few times this season.
However the colour wasn’t just featured as accents or splashes. Many high-fashion brands, like Christian Dior and Proenza Schouler, draped their models in head-to-toe yellow.
It’s a pretty intense colour, so it’s more than okay if you’re not ready to wear a yellow ensemble. Nail polish is an excellent way for you to incorporate the vibrant hue without going overboard, and is underrated if you ask me.
