Does eBay Accept Klarna?

Can you spread the cost?

Last Updated on August 9, 2023

Wondering whether you can use Klarna to pay for your eBay order? I’m here to help. Klarna has made online shopping much more accessible, by allowing shoppers to buy now and pay later. This allows shoppers to try items on before committing to the cost and then having to wait for weeks on end to get a refund. Not only can you buy now and pay later, but you can also spread the cost of a purchase over three or four payments with Klarna without paying interest, so it’s much more affordable than spending money on a credit card.

eBay is also a treasure trove for bargain hunters. You can find so many incredible pre-loved pieces on there, from vintage fashion and accessories to antique homeware and everything in between. However sending items bought on eBay back isn’t quite as simple as with other retailers; whether or not you can get your money back if the item you’ve bought doesn’t fit or isn’t quite right is down to the seller.

Let’s take a closer look at whether the two companies work together, but first you might want to read about all the brands that do accept Klarna.

Does eBay accept Klarna payments?

Sadly eBay does not accept Klarna in the UK, but it does in other countries like the US. In the US, you can split your payments across four payments, making big purchases much more accessible. You won’t pay any interest, but you’ll need to make sure you can make all four payments in order to avoid any charges.

What countries is Klarna available in?

Online shoppers from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Great Britain, and the USA can checkout via Klarna. You can also make card payments in different currencies, including AUD, CAD, CHF, PLN, DKK, EUR, GBP, NOK, SEK and USD.

However it really depends on which retailer you’re shopping at. Not every single retailer accepts Klarna. Read which brands accept Klarna here.

How do I use Klarna on eBay in the US?

Once you’ve found an item you want to purchase, add it to your cart. Visit the checkout page and click the ‘Pay with K’ option if shopping on the Klarna app. You can opt for the ‘Pay later in 30 days’ option or the ‘Pay in 4 interest-free instalments,’ which allows you to split the fee into smaller interest-free payments, that you will be paying every 2 weeks. Klarna also provides a feature that reminds shoppers of their payments by notifying you through the app.
