Call me biased, but I think they’re the perfect style for anyone who wants versatile pairs. They can look laid-back with jeans, polished with a dress, and more.

Ankle boot styles to try this year

Biker boots are big again. After their return to the spotlight in 2012 (and subsequent fall from  the limelight), they’re back again in extra form — quite literally. Biker boots of 2021 have larger track soles and platforms.

They’re not the only ones enjoying immense popularity at the moment. Chunky lug sole boots are too. They’re definitely different from the house slippers we’ve been wearing while spending lots of time at home, which is perhaps why they’re so appealing.

Rain boots are getting a lot of attention too. But they’re not your typical pairs. Aside from those that are heeled, pairs in bright and fun colours are what people seem to have taken a liking to.

Where to get ankle boots in 2021

The runways are rife with ankle boot options, of course. I spotted these styles at Prada, Loewe, Fendi, and more.

And as always, the high street comes to our rescue. ASOS, Zara, and more have pairs we’d love to add to our rotation for autumn and winter.
