The idea of wearing something plain and boring to a wedding isn’t my style, so I’ve found a selection of stunning red dresses for the wedding guest who loves colour.
Yep, you can wear red to a wedding (depending on the bride and groom’s chosen dress code). There are a few exceptions, but as long as the culture allows it, wearing this bright hue just makes sense. It is the colour of love, after all.
Speaking of wedding fashion rules, let’s not forget how Dua Lipa shattered the fashion myth that white is a no-go colour for wedding guests. Yep, she did just that last year at a friend’s wedding. Make of that what you will, but I am obsessed with her look.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that all wedding etiquette goes out of the window. It’s still important to be respectful of the couple’s wishes; what you can and cannot wear to a wedding is still pretty much up to the couple.
But you should still feel like yourself. If wearing something a little bit extra is your style, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t go for it.
