I’ve been shopping on eBay for as long as I can remember.
I’ve bought countless random items over the years and I’ve sold more of my worldly possessions than I’d care to admit whilst waiting for pay day to arrive. We’ve all been there, eh?
Ever since eBay launched way back in 1995 – I know, I can’t believe it either – there have been more than a few changes to the auction site, including the way it takes payment from customers.
More recently, the site made a huge impact on the sustainable fashion movement by teaming up with reality TV show Love Island to provide the contestants with secondhand clothing to wear throughout the series.
As a result, there’s a selection of pieces available to shop online right now that have been handpicked by the contestants.
Wear Next may receive a small commission if you click a link from one of our articles onto a retail website and make a purchase.
Is Paypal still accepted on eBay?
You can still buy items on eBay using Paypal. All you need to do is select PayPal as your payment method at the checkout and enter your account information.
You can save them here too, so you don’t need to keep entering them at checkout.
Why is eBay not using PayPal anymore?
eBay announced that it has signed an agreement with Adyen, a ‘leading global payments processor’, to become its ‘primary payments processing partner.’
If you’ve noticed selling items on eBay is a little different, this is why. Payments are now paid directly into your bank account, rather than through PayPal.
You’ll still be able to buy items on eBay through PayPal until 2023.
