Is George at ASDA fast fashion?
George at ASDA are considered fast fashion. Like many fast fashion brands however, they have taken steps to address these issues.
ASDA’s clothing brand has started to prioritise sustainability by launching sustainable clothing lines, such as their George for Good collection, which uses sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and recycled polyester. The brand has also committed to reducing its carbon footprint and minimising their environmental impact.
George’s environmental rating on Good On You is ‘not good enough’, indicating that the brand needs to make significant improvements in its environmental practices however. The brand has been criticised for using only a few eco-friendly materials and not providing evidence of minimising textile waste.

Where do George at ASDA clothes come from?
The George brand was founded in 1989 as a partnership between English fashion designer George Davies and ASDA.
ASDA state that to support both their suppliers and the George UK office, George at ASDA benefits from the support of their in-country offices located in Bangladesh, Turkey, China, and India. This suggests their garments are made in these countries.
