We’re on the cusp of Autumn, and one of the most exciting parts of beginning a new season for me is updating my shoe (and more specifically my boots) collection.

Much like how platform heels were everywhere this summer, platform boots are now set to be just as in demand for the Autumn Winter.

Platform boots take inspiration from both the 70s and the 90s and we are here for this trend resurgence. Over the years, they’ve been sported by everyone from the Spice Girls to ABBA to David Bowie to the Spice Girls to ABBA.

We first saw platform boots remerge back on the catwalks of Anna Sui, Paco Rabanne and Dries Van Noten back in AW20 and they’ve held a strong presence with almost all designers ever since.

But what style of platform boot to go for? The classics that make waves year after year are the likes of Bottega Veneta, GANNI, Versace, and Alexander McQueen.
