If you’re anything like us here at Wear Next, you find yourself turning to H&M again and again – and not just for fashion.
It’s almost embarrassing to admit I’ve only just learned of their perfume collection!

While the fragrance collection launched back in 2018, it’s not yet quite as well known as Zara’s fragrance range.
Zara’s is widely known as having some of the best dupes on the market, and H&M’s is giving it a run for its money on that front too.
While most people associate labels and high prices with quality, this doesn’t always have to be the case when it comes to fragrance.Jo Malone actually collaborated on Zara’s highly successful fragrance line?
Jo Malone actually collaborated on Zara’s highly successful fragrance line, whilst H&M sought the help of perfumers Olivier Pescheux and Nisrine Grillié from Givaudan, one of the world’s leading perfume houses.
Olivier Pescheux has previously worked on scents for the likes of Dior and Montblanc, so it’s safe to say that quality isn’t an issue when it comes to H&M’s fragrance range.
“We focused a lot on high quality ingredients, from the single note fragrances to the contemporary blends and the more nuanced perfumes that really highlight the origin of the key ingredient. It has been an honour to collaborate with H&M and alongside my colleague Nisrine for this exciting fragrance collection,” Olivier Pescheux explained.
The collection consists of 25 different scents, divided into three distinct groups to complement the existing H&M Beauty range. The Singles group offers 10 different scents that revolve around a single note, such as vanilla, chocolate or yuzu.
The Reveries, available in both eau de toilette and body mist, are 10 different blended fragrances that evoke a certain feeling with names such as Freewheeling, Sparks Will Fly and Above the Clouds.
Finally, the Essences range is made up of five different perfumes that are more nuanced and complex. They are created around a key ingredient of the nest quality, such as sandalwood, patchouli or rose and come as either eau de parfum or a roll-on perfume oil in a convenient pocket size to throw in your bag.
You might recognise some of the scents as smelling just like designer fragrances.

The soft and sweet H&M Vanilla is very much like the Van Cleef & Arpels Orchideé Vanille eau de parfum, which costs a hefty £138.

Then there’s H&M’s Above the clouds, which is a complete dupe of Byredo Blanche. The designer fragrance will set you back £127 for 50ml.
The sweet and fresh scent of H&M Eau de Toilette “Rain” sort of smells just like Chloe eau de Parfum Naturelle, which ranges between £59 to over £80.
Finally, H&M’s Sunray really reminds me of Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc, which is £178 for a bottle. H&M’s on the other hand come in at between £3.99 and £19.99 a bottle.
