Wondering what Zara means with the message ‘coming soon’ that’s often written next to an item online? I’m here to answer all your burning questions, so you don’t need to wonder anymore. There’s nothing more disappointing than finding that piece you absolutely adore, only to find that dreaded note next to your size that either says ‘out of stock’ or ‘coming soon.’ But they don’t actually mean the same thing, so it’s not all doom and gloom.
While ‘coming soon’ is a little more hopeful than ‘out of stock,’ Zara has constant returns coming in from customers who have placed an order and decided to send it back. The items are then restocked on the website, so if you keep your eyes peeled or sign up to email alerts, you might just get your hands on it. You can check reselling sites like eBay, Depop and Vinted too, of course.

What does coming soon mean on Zara?
Zara writes ‘coming soon’ next to an item that’s about to be restocked. You can click the little email icon next to your size to sign up for email updates, so if the item is restocked in the next 15 days, you’ll be alerted. You won’t be the only person to sign up for this, so it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be able to buy the item in question; you’ll be notified and then it’s down to you to act fast. If the item is not restocked within this period, the subscription will expire and you will have to re-register for email updates.
You can also check stock levels in local stores by clicking ‘check in-store availability’. You’ll be asked to select your size, the your street, zone or postcode, and you’ll see a list of stores the item is available in (if any).
What days does Zara restock?
Zara restocks online every day, but according to Who What Wear, they usually get new stock on Mondays and Thursdays depending on the store location. These are the best days to shop in-store because of this, while Saturdays are said to be the worst as many sizes have usually sold out at this point.
