It’s time to book your next nail appointment.

Last Updated on April 6, 2023

I dedicate a considerable portion of my leisure time to browsing Instagram for nail art inspo from the best nail artists on the planet. Seriously, more than I’d care to admit.

The platform is a goldmine for emerging nail trends, especially if you know where to look.

Introducing my definitive list of the best nail artists to follow on Instagram, so you’re never, ever short if manicure ideas.

An expensive habit I’ve recently adopted is getting my nails done once a month. At first, I had so many ideas I didn’t know which to pick, but as time has gone on I’ve found myself becoming less inspired – sometimes even settling on a block colour. I know, I can’t believe it either.

That’s when I started following more and more nail artists on Instagram, so I never had to settle for boring nails again.

There was once an *unthinkable* time, when we stuck to block colours and French manicures, but nail art has become huge over the past decade. #nailart has amassed over 120million posts on Instagram, proving our appetite for jazzy nails is going no where.

Kim Truong, who goes by @kimkimnails, is one of the biggest nail artists on the social media platform. The LA-based nail artist has painted the talons of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Katy Perry and Kerry Washington, so it’s safe to say she knows what she’s doing.

Over in the UK, London-based nail artist Imarni is another incredible pro to follow. She’s worked with stars including FKA Twigs, Zoe Kravitz, Hailey Bieber and Kate Moss, as well as on campaigns for Alexa Chung, Chanel, Dior and Moschino.

And there’s plenty more where they came from. In addition to A-list celebrity nail artists, there are a plethora of amazing Instagram accounts that can provide you with inspiration for your next manicure, whether you’re doing it yourself or having it done at the salon.
