Can you buy tickets for London Fashion Week or is it invite only? Here, I’ll share everything you need to know about getting into LFW. The British celebration of fashion is undoubtedly one of the most hotly-anticipated fashion events – not just in the UK, but all around the globe.

LFW takes place twice a year, in February and September. Both events invite huge crowds of fashion lovers to London, from fashion editors to street style photographers. If you’ve always wanted to attend, you’re not alone. Attending a show is on the bucket lists of many fashion lovers, whether they work in the industry or not. So how can we get a piece of the pie and attend LFW?

Can you buy tickets to London Fashion Week?

Unfortunately, you can’t buy tickets to the shows – but there are a couple of other ways to get in. The first is to get an invitation directly from the team of the designer whose show you want to catch. To do this, you’ll need to work in the fashion industry. The other is to get accredited by the British Fashion Council if you work in fashion as a buyer, photographer, journalist, influencer, blogger or many other roles in the industry. Those who want to apply for accreditation can do so through the London Fashion Week website.

Is London Fashion Week open to the public?

Sadly LFW isn’t open to the public, but the event’s shift to phygital — a combination of physical and digital shows — has made it possible for all of us to witness the magic in the comfort of our homes. Some of my favourites, such as Rejina Pyo, Simone Rocha and Burberry, are usually part of the LFW line-up and kindly livestream their shows for fans to watch online.

How to watch London Fashion Week 2024

You can watch the shows online if you can’t catch them in person. Just like the last few seasons, LFW will stream some of the shows on its website. Many designers also live stream their shows on social media, so make sure to follow your favourite designers on Instagram and YouTube before the event begins.

When is London Fashion week?

The next LFW will take place from February 15 – 20, 2024, when the Fall/Winter 2024 collections will be presented. LFW will then happen again in September 2024, when the Spring/Summer collections will be showcased.

Where is London Fashion Week held?

Previously the main hub of the fashion event was held at Somerset House, 180 The Strand, London, but now shows are held across a number of venues across London.
