Does ASOS Restock Sold Out Items? Use These Hacks to Buy the Brand’s Most Popular Pieces

How to get your hands on sold out pieces.

Last Updated on July 20, 2023

Wondering whether ASOS restocks sold out items? I’m here to help. Is it me, or are the best pieces on ASOS always sold out? Judging by the number of people searching the same question, it doesn’t look like it. The famous online retailer houses thousands upon thousands of on trend pieces from an array of popular brands, including many of their own. ASOS Design, Collusion, Curve and Edition are just some of the company’s own brands, and some of my personal favourites. Their pieces sell out really quickly, so if you want to get your hands on a piece, it’s best to do so quickly.

But does the brand restock, and when? Keep scrolling for everything I know, and some handy hacks for buying sold out pieces.

Does ASOS restock?

ASOS is constantly restocking sold out pieces, as they’re processing returns all the time. You can also sign up to be notified about pieces coming back into stock and there’s even a page of pieces that have just been restocked.

If there’s an item I really want, I star it and keep checking back. A handy place to do this is on the app, so you can check regularly if it’s back in stock. As there are thousands of people shopping on ASOS every day, you can bet that there are plenty of returns too. Most of the time, those pieces you’ve fallen in love with come back into stock pretty soon.

When does ASOS restock?

Unfortunately there’s no set time when restocks go live – it happens almost every hour of the day. ASOS usually restocks throughout the week too, so as far as we can tell, there’s not a best day to check stock.

How to request restock notifications

ASOS doesn’t have notifications that tell you if something you love is back in stock on its website, but the app does allow you to do this. You can request to receive a push notification when something comes back in stock.

Back in Stock Alerts is another handy website, which sends you emails when an item you want becomes available to buy. You can simply enter a link to the item, select which size and colour you’re looking for and enter your email address. If and when it’s then restocked, you’ll receive an email alerting you.

ASOS ‘Style Match’ Feature

It’s a big letdown when an item you’ve wanted for so long is sold out, especially when it takes a while to restock but it doesn’t mean there’s no other option. ASOS has this cool visual search feature on their app called Style Match, where you can take a photo or upload a picture of a specific clothing item, and then the app will recommend something that looks similar.

It’s quite simple to use. All you need to do is go to the search bar, tap the camera icon and you can upload or take a picture of a specific piece. You can even try uploading a screenshot of the out-of-stock item; who knows, there might be a hidden gem in their collections.

How do I save an out of stock item on ASOS?

Even if an item is low or out of stock, you can add it to your Saved Items list on ASOS. You can easily do so by logging into your account and clicking on the heart icon displayed on each product page. Once you’ve added an item to your Saved Items list, you’ll be able to track any changes in its availability or pricing. This includes notifications about reductions in price, stock shortages for specific sizes or colours, and when the item is no longer available.
