H&M Studio’s SS23 collection is here, and if you’ve never been enticed by the brand’s limited edition collections before (how could you not?), perhaps this one will win you over.
Like all the collections the high street brand drops, this one won’t be around for long. We predict that leather biker jacket will be first to go.

The campaign for the SS23 collection is fronted by Grammy-award-winning Colombian-American artist Kali Uchis and is inspired by a day in the life of the glamorous pop star and Hollywood’s Golden Age goddesses.
The limited edition collections are released bi-annually, in keeping with traditional fashion schedules.
Designed by the Stockholm atelier, the team has created garments in XXL silhouettes as well as relaxed, cool-girl essentials, with innovative fabric technologies and sustainability in mind.
For me, the stand-out pieces are the unbelievably chic brown leather jacket and the black ruffled leather gown that’s fit for a red carpet.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M agrees, as she says: “Fashion is in a daring mood this season and for Studio S/S23 we wanted to push the envelope in terms of colour and silhouette.
“At the same time, we offset the more extravagant eveningwear styles with really easy shortcuts to timeless style, such as a leather biker jacket you could wear again and again.”
H&M is often criticised for its approach to sustainability, but it’s clear to see the effort is there. Every item in the SS23 collection is made with ‘more sustainable materials’, such as recycled polyester, chrome-free leather, organic cotton and Naia™ Renew, a fiber produced from 60% sustainably sourced wood pulp and 40% certified recycled waste materials.
Sure, more could be done but it’s exciting to see such incredible fashion being made with a circular approach.
