You could never have predicted when Harry Styles popped onto our screens one Saturday night back in 2010 auditioning for a place in The X Factor that he’d end up as one of the biggest stars on the planet (Louis Walsh actually gave him a no, would you believe?) – but here we are. 10 years on, it’s reported that Harry has a net worth of £63 million and this year he became the first man to be on the cover of US Vogue in the magazine’s 127 year history. He must be doing something right.

Over the past decade of his career, Harry has pushed boundaries time and time again when it comes to fashion. However the former One Direction star claims it’s his long-time stylist Harry Lambert who he has to thank for his style transformation since leaving the band. He told Vogue, ‘He just has fun with clothing, and that’s kind of where I’ve got it from. He doesn’t take it too seriously, which means I don’t take it too seriously.’ Lambert’s attitude to fashion has worked a treat on Harry, who now claims, ‘You can never be overdressed. There’s no such thing.’ That, we can all agree on.
We’ve collated 10 of Harry’s best-ever looks, which prove that when it comes to fashion, he and Lambert are the perfect team.

Harry never fails to entertain on stage and his outfits, also styled by Harry Lambert, add beautifully to the drama. While it’s hard to narrow down which of the singer’s stage looks we like most, we simply adore this fringed and embroidered jacket.

The attention-grabbing looks Harry wears on the red carpet never cease to inspire us and this was one of his very best. This Marc Jacobs look first appeared on the catwalk in September 2019, before Harry wore it the following February. Lambert said of the choice, ‘The moment I saw the marigold suit on the Marc Jacobs spring/summer 2020 runway, I knew we had to get it.’

Harry’s music videos have been a constant source of fashion inspiration for many and Watermelon Sugar served it up in bucketloads. The sun-soaked video felt like it took us on a three-minute holiday while we watched it in lockdown, and a lot of it had to do with Harry’s outfits. This colourful ensemble blew us away.

Harry’s Golden video served up another round of incredible outfits (and made us want to go on holiday, pronto). This time, Lambert teamed these S.S. Daley trousers with a yellow hat from The Costume Studio and a personalised necklace from jewellery brand eliou. The results speak for themselves, ladies and gents.

Harry’s nautical wardrobe is revealed in his Adore You video. It sees him in various sailor-style combinations, including a custom denim suit by Gucci and this brown Bode jumpsuit worn with a vintage denim cap. The video is beautifully whimsical, and yet again Lambert’s styling is perfectly put together.

One of many stunning shots from US Vogue’s December issue, in which Harry is the cover star, this entire look is from Gucci. The pussybow blouse teamed with check trousers and red gridded overcoat creates such a perfectly whimsical look, one that’s become synonymous with Harry.

Harry’s Gucci gloves have become famous in their own right after appearing in his music video for Golden. The superstar, who has previously been linked to stars including Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swift, shared this shot from behind the scenes on set and they were instantly recognisable. Combined with his classic blue blazer, we’re well and truly blown away.

Harry yet again hit headlines when he wore this sheer blouse at the Met Gala in 2019. The theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion and his head-to-toe Gucci look, complete with heeled boots and a single pearl earring, pushed boundaries. No wonder he has become the brand’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s muse.

Another beautiful outfit from behind the scenes on the Golden music video, shared by Lambert on Instagram. This time, he’s wearing a boater hat adorned with flowers from S.S. Daley‘s own garden as well as a shirt from the designer. These unique shorts are from bode, another favourite of Lambert’s.

Harry’s album cover and tour poster sees the star wearing white high-waisted wide-legged trousers with gold button detailing, a pink shirt with matching suspenders and heeled boots. This feels like the beginning of his style transformation, when he really started having fun with fashion. He put it well during his interview with Vogue, when he said, ‘There’s so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I’ve never really thought too much about what it means—it just becomes this extended part of creating something.’
