Aside from spending time with family and friends of course, one of the things to look forward to during the holiday season are the sales, which typically start from Boxing Day and last through to January.
It’s the perfect time to gift yourselves and your loved ones things that have been on your list for a while — and to get them at discounted prices.
While it may not seem like you need to, preparing for these sale events is actually a pretty good idea.
Knowing everything you need to know about them takes you one step closer to getting the best deals for your coveted pieces and saving more money.
We don’t condone needless spending, but understand that not everybody can afford to pay for items at extortionate prices, so it makes sense to wait until they go down after Christmas.
I’m right there with you, so I’ve gone ahead and looked for all of the answers to the burning questions we’ve all been asking about Boxing Day and January sales.

Are January sales as good as Black Friday?
The quick answer is that they’re different.
Black Friday sales are known to be better for newer releases. Say you’ve been eyeing a certain autumn winter piece from a particular store. There’s a high chance you can get it at a discount during Black Friday, but it won’t last long.
For more general or year-round items, January sales are better. This is because brands often have the goal of clearing the entire fiscal year’s inventory if possible, to make way for the new one. So you can expect to see more classic items during these sales, and the prices will drop as the time goes on.
Is Next having a Boxing Day sale?

Are Boxing Day sales online?
Now that the lockdown has been lifted, we’re expecting to see brands that participate in the shopping holiday offer their deals not only online but in stores too.
If you can’t be bothered to leave the house, there’s no need to go out. If you’re speedy, you’ll find just as good deals online.
What sales are on?
Almost all high street stores take part in Boxing Day sales.
One of the most popular fashion sales is Zara’s, which only take place three times yearly – once in summer, briefly for Black Friday and from Boxing Day onwards.
The stores get taken over by the sales and you can always find amazing bargains.
Other brands that have sales include H&M, & Other Stories, ASOS, Arket, Cos, New Look and more.
Are Black Friday or Boxing Day sales better?
The sales brands run tend to be different during these sales.
Black Friday is great for newer pieces while Boxing Day sales are great for clearance pieces or general items you wish to give yourself or loved ones.
Either way, they’re both great opportunities to save while shopping!
