Christmas is just around the corner and believe it or not, it’s less than eight weeks until Christmas Jumper Day.
The fundraising day, created by Save The Children, encourages people to wear a festive knit for the day and to then donate £2 or more to the children’s welfare charity. While offices may be quieter than usual this year and many cities are on lockdown, we’re expecting to see people getting into the festive spirit on social media for the cause.
However if, like us, novelty knits aren’t your thing, we’ve found eight knits you can wear on the day and all through the winter too. If you’re going to spend money, it may as well be on something you love after all!

Jumper, £65, & Other Stories – buy now
Keep it simple and chic with this pearl-embellished jumper from & Other Stories. Teamed with a pair of denim cut-off jeans, heeled boots and an aviator jacket, this knit can easily be worn all winter.

Jumper, £22, Depop – buy now in size 14-16
We love any excuse to go vintage shopping and we can’t get enough of finding bargains on Depop at the moment. Granted, this jumper has a Christmas vibe – but like Norwegian knits, we argue that this can be worn for a month or two at least. Regardless, it’s second-hand which is much better for the environment than buying new.

Jumper, £39.99, Topshop – buy now
Animal print is wearable all year round, so this jumper will see you through winter no problem and for years to come. This spliced style funnel neck jumper looks great dressed up with a leather mini, or more casually with jeans.

Jumper, £49.99, Mango – buy now
You can’t go wrong with a red Christmas jumper, and this beautiful sweater from Mango is perfect for winter. The zip detail gives it a modern edge, so if you’re avoiding the obvious festive look but still want to get into the festive spirit, this one’s for you.

Jumper, £89.99, Zara – buy now
Zara never fails to disappoint and they’ve done it again with this nude knit. While we’re all about bold colours at WN, this nude knit packs a punch with the heavy embellishment. It’s Christmassy, but it’s not overkill and the detail is beautiful.

Jumper, £495, JW Anderson at Selfridges – buy now
This mohair JW Anderson sweater is the perfect staple. While the patchwork and tartan are on trend, it will last for years. Wear with leather trousers and cowboy boots for an alternative way to do Christmas Jumper Day.

Collars are everywhere at the moment thanks to Gucci and Ganni, so this knit is perfect as a high-street alternative. Just looking at it makes us feel warm and cosy!
