Call Off the Search – I’ve Found the Best Affordable Bridesmaids Dresses on the High Street

And you can definitely re-wear them too!

I’ve always found the concept of bridesmaids dresses a little bit stressful.

You have to follow a certain theme, and more often than not the colour or silhouette should be similar to or exactly the same as what others are wearing.

The traditional way to do it is to head to a bridal gown shop where it can be tricky to find similar options for a diverse group of people.

The worst part? The dresses are not cheap — at all. So many have shelled out up to a couple of grand for one piece of clothing they may not wear again, ever.

Don’t get me wrong though, there’s nothing wrong if you like treading the traditional route. But I’m here to tell you that the high street is the place to go if you don’t want to burn a hole in your pocket.

Yes, aside from casual outfits, wardrobe staples, and fit-for-partying pieces, we can now get affordable bridesmaids dresses on the high street – and wedding dresses too, but that’s another story.

Many of the options are great to wear again and again too. Getting my money’s worth for cost per wear? Yes, please. And thank you.

Omnes has a pink cami slip dress that’s incredibly sleek. It’s great to wear by itself in the summer, but you can definitely still get away with wearing it in winter — find out how here.

Whistles has a mint green halter number that’s similar to that iconic gown Jennifer Aniston’s character Rachel Green wore in Friends – but more than the pop culture connection, it has a silhouette that’s timeless so you can definitely wear it for years.

An affordable bridesmaid dress on the high street that’s not plain? Yes, it exists. Rixo delivers with a long-sleeved, central split dress with — wait for it — prints.

ASOS is a go-to for many styles, but it can be a destination for wedding-related clothing now too. It even has its own bridesmaid section! I found a couple of dresses that will work great for other special occasions too.

But those are just a few options. The high street has been really good at providing us with pieces to wear not just during a special occasion but just about anytime we want to dress up.

End your hunt now and get one of these affordable bridesmaids dresses on the high street!
