If you’re looking for a wedding guest dress that’s chic and wearable, the midi dress is your best bet.
The worst thing about wedding season for me is the need to buy a new dress, only for it to be worn once. It’s the same for the Christmas party every year; if I’m spending £100 on a new dress, it needs to be something that’s going to get a lot of wear. And I mean a lot.
You can rent dresses now, which is such a great option – but if you’re looking for a new dress to see you through a few occasions, it needs to be something you really, truly love.
I don’t want to sound too overbearing about wedding guest dresses, but hear me out – weddings can involve prolonged periods of sitting, so it’s worth considering the practicality of your outfit too. Mini dresses may not be the most suitable option for this, but a midi dress most certainly will be.
Also the heat! There’s no guarantee the sun will shine, but I don’t want to be a sweaty mess in a long-sleeved maxi dress if I can help it.
