It pains me to be talking about rainy weather in August, but there’s one thing that makes it slightly less painful and that’s raincoats.
The wet weather staple is one of those items us Brits just need to have in our wardrobes at all times. Summer or winter, it’s probably raining, so we might as well look stylish while enduring it.
While there’s (allegedly) set to be a heatwave soon, there’s going to be more rain before it hits, so I’ve been on the hunt for some outerwear I can wear in wet weather.
I’m not talking anything too heavy – while puffer jackets will be big this winter, it’s still too warm to cosy up in them. Instead, I’ve been looking at rain macs that work from spring through to autumn.
Brands such as Hunter and Rains always offer foolproof options, but I’ve also been looking towards more fashion-led brands including Arket, Mango and ASOS. While they offer classic rain macs, there are also more current silhouettes available, such as parkas, capes and cropped jackets.
Make up your own mind which you prefer. Here are 13 I love.
