Wondering when Miami Fashion Week is happening, which designers will showcase their collections and how you can attend? I’m sharing everything you need to know, right here. Regarded as the second-largest fashion week in the United States, Miami Fashion Week – also known as MIAFW – is famous for its energetic and vibrant shows that echo the city’s diverse cultural heritage. Not only does MIAFW bring together key players in the fashion industry like press, influencers, designers and buyers, but it’s also a huge celebration of fashion from both established designers and fresh talent and allows them to showcase their designs on a global stage.
Around 6,000 people attend the annual event, and an incredible 1.5million also tune in online. Recognised globally by the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Calendar’s
Important Dates (CFDA), it’s the first international platform for the resort collections and sees runway shows, galas, after-parties and pop-up events across Miami.

When is Miami Fashion Week?
Held annually, Miami Fashion Week usually takes place in May, but in 2023 it has been postponed until November to make way for new programming. Exact dates are yet to be confirmed, but we’ll be updating this article regularly so check back soon for more information.
Who organizes MIAFW?
Miami Fashion Week is led by the honorary president, Antonio Banderas. Meanwhile, ‘Master of Catwalks’ Sergio Salerni serves as the runway director for MIAFW, along with art and casting director Esther García, the founder of Esma Events, and Lourdes Fernandez-Velasco, MIAFW’s creative director.
How do you get into MIAFW?
Unfortunately, MIAFW is a by-invitation event and is not open to the public. Guests usually get invited by a specific brand or the designer’s team. If you work in the industry, you can submit an application for accreditation through their official website and we recommend contacting each designer’s press team. Remember to send your request months ahead of MIAFW to ensure a place.
Can I get tickets for MIAFW?
As it’s an invite only event, you can’t buy tickets for MIAFW. You can, however, tune in online, and you’ll basically feel like you’re there!
Where is MIAFW held?
Each show’s location depends on the designer, however it’s usually within the city’s downtown or South Beach areas. As for the upcoming season, Miami Fashion Week 2023 will take place in various locations, such as Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Gary Nader Art Center, Seaspice, and Frost Science Museum.
How do I watch MIAFW online?
MIAFW is available to watch online and can be streamed through miamifashionweek.com. As well as the website, you can also watch it live through their official YouTube channel. Snippets of MIAFW will also be posted on their Instagram page.
MIAFW Schedule
The MIAFW schedule is yet to be announced, but the five-day event will showcase works from renowned designers like Naeem Khan, Angel Sanchez, Benito Santos, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, and more.
