Saturated hues are dominating this season, whether on the street, the catwalk, or the high street.
While minimalism and muted tones reigned supreme for years, colour is now firmly back on the agenda and we truly couldn’t be more happy about it – so much so that it’s the theme of our latest shoot Chroma, photographed by Morgane Maurice.
The pandemic has been devastating, but similarly to the Roaring Twenties that followed the Spanish Flu of 1918 that infected an estimated 500 million globally and led to 50 million deaths, we’re experiencing a sartorial revolution.
After being confined to lockdown loungewear, we’re able to express ourselves with fashion again and that’s exactly what we’re doing.
From metallic gowns to platform shoes, our style is becoming more extravagant than it’s been in decades. We’ve been afraid of colour for so long, we almost forgot what saturated shades looked like – but now mono colour is emerging as a trend for SS22.
