On the hunt for a new signature scent? If you walk straight past & Other Stories perfumes when you go shopping, you might be missing a trick so I’m sharing the fragrances from the brand you need to take notice of.
Perfumes can be an easy way to express your personality. It might seem like a small detail to some, but the right fragrance has the ability to make you feel great about yourself – as well as make you more memorable to others.
Research into scent marketing by Mood Media found that 75% of all emotions generated every day are due to smell. Because of this, we are 100 times more likely to remember something we smell over something we see, hear or touch. I used to forego perfume, but since discovering the power of a delicious scent, I’m convinced it’s a bigger detail than I once thought.

A problem many of us face however is the expense of a good perfume. Luxury fragrances can cost hundreds, making it an expensive habit. If you’re looking to spend less on perfume, there are many options available. The most obvious option is to buy the cheaper ones – but I know what you’re thinking. Cheap perfumes usually smell cheap, and expensive perfumes usually smell expensive. But there are great purse-friendly options that exude luxury—like those from & Other Stories.
The Swedish brand offers more than just cute summer dresses. They also have perfumes that smell luxurious, despite being under £30. When you delve further into the individuals behind these perfumes, it’s no surprise why. Ben Gorham, the mastermind behind luxury fragrance house Byredo, is the man in charge of & Other Stories’ fragrances.
If you’re looking for a new perfume, & Other Stories have plenty of purse-friendly scents to rival the world’s most expensive fragrances. There are plenty to choose from, but these are my personal favourites that I smelt on my latest journey to the store. Many of them come in both an eau de toilette, roll-on and body oils, small enough to pop right in your handbag.
