Unless you’ve been living under a rock this year, you’ll have heard of Hailey Bieber’s glazed donut nails, which have quite literally dominated 2022 nail trends.
It all started with “glazed donut skin,” i.e., a dewy complexion which is the main theme of Hailey’s new skincare line Rhode and has developed into “glazed donut nails”.

Glazed donut nails consist of a white nail polish topped with a shimmering chrome which makes your fingertips look like they’re covered in a glossy, milky frosting.
Hailey first debuted the ‘glazed donut nails’ at the 2022 Met Gala, but the mani didn’t hit viral status until she posted a video on TikTok detailing exactly how to get the look.
And so, the viral sensation began, right now the hashtag #haileybiebernails has 376.2 million views while the hashtag #glazeddonutnails has racked up 159.2 million views to date.
In the video, Hailey detailed exactly how to achieve her look by simply using the OPI gel colour Pale to the Chief mixed with a clear colour to make it thinner. On top of this you then apply the chrome effects powder in shade Tin Man Can and hey presto you can have the same nails as Hailey.
While it is a simple look to do at home yourself, the only snag is that some of the OPI products used in Hailey’s manicure are only sold to professional businesses.
However, there are plenty of alternative nail polishes and powders that can be used to achieve the look by using different OPI polishes and powers and by using other brands like Essie and Sally Hansen.
