Christmas is a time for giving, but – let’s be honest – it can also be a time for returning gifts.
After going through the excitement of swapping presents on Christmas Day, it’s a huge anticlimax when a gift you’ve bought for someone or received isn’t quite right. Not only that, but it can be downright annoying having to return a Christmas present – particularly if the brand in question isn’t flexible with returns.

It might be a good idea to check what their policies are before making a purchase. Most retailers have a 30-day return policy, but some have generous extensions during the holiday season. Some even allow items purchased between November and December to be returned at any time before midnight on 31 January.

Here are some brands that offer extended Christmas returns.

Which brands offer extended Christmas returns?
M&S
Since the pandemic, Marks & Spencer joined other retailer brands in extending their holiday returns.
For purchases made between 31 October to 24 December 2022, you will have time to return items until 31 January 31. Any purchase made after 24 December will be subjected to their usual 35-day returns policy.
If it is unused and still in its original packaging, you can get a full refund if you show valid proof of purchase.

H&M
H&M has a special policy for Christmas returns. If you purchased anything from the brand between 14 October 2022 to 3 January 2023, you have until 31 January to return the item.

New Look
Whether it’s something you’ve purchased for yourself or a gift you simply didn’t like, you can still return something bought from New Look until the new year—even if you bought it on sale.
Purchases between 31 October and 9 December 2022 can be returned until 6 January 2023. All you need to do is show a valid order number or receipt.

ASOS
ASOS also offers extended Christmas returns until 24 January 2023 for items purchased between 14 November and 24 December.
Any other purchase will be subjected to their standard return policies.

COS
Out of every brand on this list, COS’ has the most generous Christmas returns policy. Any item purchased before 14 December 2022 can still be returned until 31 January 2023.
But it doesn’t mean they accept all items for return. They will only accept it if the products are clean, unworn and still have their tags, while make up and skincare products also cannot be returned.
Warehouse
Warehouse only accepts returns until 15 January 2023 for items purchased between 17 November and 18 December 2022.
If you ordered anything from the brand after the 18th,their usual 28-day return policy applies.

Anthropologie
Anthropologie has extended Christmas returns. You can read more about their return process here.
All orders placed between 24 October and 24 December 2022 are eligible for refunds and exchanges until 31 January 2023.
& Other Stories
Items purchased in-store or online between 6 November and 30 December 2022 can now be returned until 31 January 2023.
However & Other Stories mentioned on the Refunds & Returns page that returns may take longer than usual during the holidays.
Monki
Like its parent company H&M, Monki has also extended its Christmas returns for the holidays.
Items purchased between 14 November and 31 December are returnable until 31 January 2023, either by post or in-store.
