H&M recently announced that its upcoming designer collaboration will be with none other than iconic French fashion house Mugler. It will be available for sale online and in selected stores this spring 2023.
The multinational clothing company has a track record of having partnerships with big names in the fashion industry. Some of the limited edition collections include those with Simone Rocha, Comme des Garcons, and Karl Lagerfeld, among many others.

H&M said in its statement that its designer collaborations are “legendary and pioneering.”

Mugler was first launched in 1973 and became known for its hyperfeminine and avant-garde approach to fashion.
Since then, the fashion house has dressed supermodel Irina Shayk, actress Meghan Fox, and reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian for her iconic Mugler corset dress.
H&M creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson will be working hand-in-hand with Mugler’s creative director, Casey Cadwallader.

Mugler x H&M Expected Sizes
Sizing for the H&M collection is still in the works, but referring to previous collaborations and collections and seeing that it is Mugler it is partnering with, we can expect more inclusive sizing.
Vogue noted that putting the values of the Mugler brand into consideration, the pieces with H&M should be able to fit all types of bodies.
Cadwallader said that sizing is something the team “works really hard on.”
“Our fit models are curvy, so when we build clothes with that architecture in mind, it translates into production,” he said.
In 2020, Cadwallader also told Vogue that there were “2s, 4s, 6s, 8s, 10,” in his lineup for the Fall 2020 ready-to-wear collection.
H&M was earlier scrutinized for running smaller sizes as compared to most American brands, which then prompted the company to adjust their sizing to be more aligned with American size, as reported by Forbes.
