Amid collaborations with esteemed designers JW Anderson and Paul & Joe, Uniqlo dropped its latest collab with none other than Marni.
If you love prints and patterns, it will be right up your street. Consisting of hand-painted floral anoraks, chequered pants and skirts, striped dresses and colourful socks, it’s not for wallflowers.
Creative director Francesco Risso told Vogue that the collection is however aimed at every body, telling the publication: “It was fun in the design process to see that every piece was interchangeable from gender to gender.
“The designs are quite neutral, welcome to all the creatures of the planets.”
The good news is that the collaboration isn’t a one-time thing. You can expect to see more from the duo in the coming months, according to Vogue.
Risso went on: “It’s a beautiful way to intertwine.
“It’s not putting this logo above that logo. Instead, it was very, very fascinating how swapping our talents created this very pragmatic, consistent, and considered wardrobe for every day on one hand, and on the other hand, an extremely happy, joyful collection that is spiritually very much about what we stand for at Marni.”
In a release, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer and Head of R&D for UNIQLO, Yukihiro Katsuta added: “We are proud of how this collaboration with MARNI has produced a collection for a new era and a new season that allows everyone to experience the joy of wearing clothes.
“The UNIQLO philosophy of clothing that is simple, high quality, functional, and ingenious in detail, imbued with MARNI’s creative vitality, has produced bold and innovative LifeWear.
“I am extremely pleased that we are able to offer this essential LifeWear collection that accentuates individual character and feelings in a positive way.”
As well as this affordable collection, Marni’s latest collaboration with sustainable sneaker brand Veja is still available to buy.
The collection consists of two pairs of trainers: Veja’s V-10 silhouette and the high-top V-15. Both pairs are covered in playful scribbles, making them instantly recognisable and unique. But more on that later.

Tips for buying
As with many designer collaborations, certain pieces sell out quicker than others.
The key to ensuring you don’t miss out is usually to sign up to the brand’s newsletter. You’ll receive an email on the day of release, reminding you it’s available.
I also recommend downloading the app for the very same reason. Many brands actually release special collections on the app first, so this is potentially your best chance of buying pieces from the Marni collab.
