What’s the theme of the Met Gala in 2021?
The exhibitions and the overall theme of the event are all-American this year — and the next. In 2021, the theme is titled ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’. The showcase will start on 18 September.
For 2022, the theme will be ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion.’
Who’s invited to the Met Gala?
First, it’s important to note that the guest list is approved by the event’s chairwoman, Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
The party aims to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, and it does so through ticket sales. So you may have a chance to go. The thing is, each ticket costs about $35,000.
And even though you may have the money to shell out for one, you need to be in Anna Wintour’s good graces because she has the final say on who gets to go.

If the list is to be believed as true, then we may be seeing Beyonce back on the red carpet of the Met this year too.
The Instagram account also claimed that Anna Wintour has invited more social media influencers this year, including TikTok stars Bella Poarch and Charli D’Amelio.
