The brand has been called into question in recent years for its use of animal testing, but they immediately defended its ethics. 

Armani Beauty has claimed to work on to sustainability and has implemented various initiatives to minimize its environmental footprint since 2013. 

The brand focuses on using recycled materials in its packaging, sourcing paper and cardboard from sustainably-managed forests, and reducing energy consumption in its stores. Armani Beauty also offers a recycling program for consumers to return empty packaging. 

By using recycled materials, responsibly sourced resources, and promoting energy efficiency, Armani Beauty aims to reduce its environmental impact and contribute positively to the industry.

The brand is also committed to durability that encompasses various initiatives, such as the introduction of refillable product formats, the creation of scalable boutiques with reusable modules, and the utilization of packaging made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and glass. 

It is also good to know that Good On You rates Armani’s fashion line ‘Not good enough.‘ It highlights that the brand incorporates leather, angora, wool, down, and exotic animal hair into its products. However, it does not use fur or exotic animal skin, as in 2016, the brand announced that it stopped using animal fur in its clothing.

Is Armani Ethical?

Armani Beauty has committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct. The brand strives to ensure fair labor practices throughout its supply chain.

Armani’s Animal Welfare Policy

According to the FAQ section of Giorgio Armani’s website, the brand asserts that it does not conduct animal testing on its products. 

Furthermore, Giorgio Armani does not rely on any external parties to conduct animal testing for the purpose of product safety review. 

Instead, the brand ensures product safety by collaborating with L’Oréal, which conducts extensive research and development on innovative alternative methods to animal testing, such as the use of reconstructed skin models.
