We still have roughly a month more before the season starts changing, but I’m already thinking about some jackets for autumn.
I’m still going to enjoy what’s left of the warm weather, of course – I’m wearing my summer clothes for as long as I can – but I’m planning my outfits for the next season now. It seems to be just the right time to think ahead too because there are lots of good options on the market right now.
This autumn, there are plenty of trends to look out for. Quilted and puffer styles are set to dominate, as seen at the Prada, Givenchy, Marni, Balenciaga, Chanel and Louis Vuitton shows. Anything goes, whether it’s longline coats, or cropped jackets, but the more exaggerated texture, the better.
Ponchos and capes are also set to take centre stage, and there’s always space for classic styles, including oversized blazers, leather jackets and denim outwear.
Of course the change in season is still on the horizon, but the British weather always allows for jackets. Plus, Zara, ASOS, & Other Stories and more high street stores are dropping their autumn winter collections now, and there are plenty to get excited about.
I took it upon myself to find a selection of the best jackets that you can buy now and wear for winters to come.
