I’ve recently made the decision to buy less, but to choose carefully and cherish what I have – including sunglasses.
While it might seem very easy and appealing to buy cheap pairs for fear of breaking them, I’ve found buying one pair you really, truly love and looking after them makes much more sense.

Why, I hear you ask? Well, since buying a pair of Isabel Marant shades, I’ve found I take so much care of them, keeping them safe to avoid scratches and in a case so I don’t break them by sitting on them – a fate many of my previous pairs have sadly met.

It also makes getting dressed every day so much easier. When you have less to choose from, it takes way less time and I keep my shades in my bag 24/7 for ease.
Sunglasses are a much easier piece to invest in, as if you choose wisely, they’ll go with pretty much everything. So this year, I’m advising you to pick carefully and allow yourself to splash out to reap the benefits of what you do buy.
I’m not talking too much money. We all know how much energy bills have increased by lately, and I don’t have hundreds to spend – but less than £200? I can justify that.
You’d be surprised at what you can find too. The summer sales are on now, and there are plenty of luxury brands that have slashed their prices too.
Right now, you can find designer shades on sale from Victoria Beckham, Burberry, Jacquemus and even Gucci.
So without further ado, here are the best pairs I’ve found in my search. Thank me later.
