There are so many 90s trends that have enjoyed a resurgence over the past few years, but there’s one I’m really excited to see more of: dungarees.

The effortless denim one-piece never really went out of style (at least for me). They’re an often forgotten style staple, but it’s nice to see more and more people giving us ideas for how to wear them and brands dropping their own iterations.

Perhaps the most notable are sustainable label Lucy & Yak’s famous dungas, which come in a whole host of different colours and prints and which won them a cult following.

East London label LF Markey also have a selection of sustainable dungarees in loose-fitting silhouettes that look like a joy to wear.

The look is star approved too, with fans including ‘it’ girl Alexa Chung. The designer shared a snap on Instagram of her wearing a pair of striped dungarees layered over a nude knit and under a long leather coat, achieving an effortless look as usual.

Like Alexa, I love how dungarees are so comfy and casual, yet make you feel put together at the same time.

If, like me, you haven’t worn them in a while, fear not. Like jumpsuits, they don’t take too much thought to style but look cool regardless.

If you’re ready to give them your own spin, there are lots of cute dungarees on the market right now, from high street to designer.

Here’s my edit of dungarees to add to cart now.
