Zara’s Secret Sophisticated Sister Brand Has Some of the Best Dresses on the High Street

If you haven’t heard of Massimo Dutti, you’re in for a treat.

One of Zara’s lesser-known sister brands, it specialises in sophisticated and gorgeously tailored pieces that will stand the test of time, and its dresses in particular are some of the best I’ve seen.

If you want a no-brainer outfit, a good dress is always the way to go. There’s nothing like an LBD or a well-cut frock to make you look and feel instantly put together. You can head out with just a dress, but you can also layer on and accessorise according to your mood and the occasion.

Like everyone, I’m sure you have a few go-to brands for yours, but if it isn’t on your list yet I suggest you take a look at Massimo Dutti.

Zara gets all the attention — for good reason, no doubt — but its sister brand definitely has a lot to offer too. Think of it as Inditex’s older sibling – mature, yet still painfully stylish.

While often seen as a more serious version of Zara however, Massimo Dutti is set to merge with Uterqüe very soon, so there will be some more maximalist options for you to choose from.

If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more structured and streamlined, there’s a little black dress that’s perfect. It has long sleeves and a deep neck-line, which offers a contrast to its pleated lower part.

For something on the lighter side, Massimo Dutti also has a wool dress in light beige that’s reminiscent of the iconic Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress.
