These cute accessories have been pictured on countless style icons over the years, including Alexa Chung, Audrey Hepburn and more recently, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales.

Which hat is best for summer?

You can stay cool and protected under the sun with a stylish straw hat with a wide, floppy brim. Not only is this type of hat lightweight and breathable, but it also offers excellent shade and can be effortlessly reshaped.

For optimal sun protection, consider a broad-brimmed bucket hat that gives maximum face coverage and also protects the back of your neck as well. If you have a longer face, go for a flatter crown.

Do straw hats break easily?

Straw hats come in various durability levels, with some being more fragile than others. Nevertheless, you can extend the lifespan of your straw hat through proper care.

To keep your straw hat in good condition for years, use a soft brush to remove dust and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or rain. Straw hats made of natural fibers may lose their shape in the rain, but you can snap up the brim once indoors to help it maintain its form.
