We bet you saw the surge of social media posts featuring gingham prints, prairie dresses, eyelet blouses and soft cardigans when lockdown first started last summer. If you thought you’d seen the back of them think again, as cottagecore is here to stay.

The aesthetic inspired by agricultural life and crafts has evolved from a trend to a movement. To date, there are more than 1.7 million posts about it on Instagram and the videos on TikTok about the look have 6.1 billion — yes, billion — views.

It also paved the way for cabincore (the look of being in the English countryside) and bloomcore (also known as flowercore, or the style based on flowers and gardening).

Frankly, we’re not surprised by the interest in the aesthetic. Who wouldn’t want to wear a floral sundress on a picnic in the sunshine?

If you love it too you’re in luck, as we’ve found 11 summer-ready pieces available now. Here are some of our top picks from Rouje, Rixo, Zara, and more.
