Here’s Where to Buy the Best Personalised Name Necklaces Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw

Or make like J-Lo and wear your boyfriend's name around your neck.

Who can forget Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic Carrie necklace in Sex and the City?

As the TV show made its comeback with And Just Like That…, a 10-part reboot which saw Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte reunite in their 50s, I’ve also started binge watching re-runs of SATC and quickly became obsessed with Carrie’s name necklace all over again.

Of course, Carrie lost the necklace in the final season of the show when she suffered a disastrous fall in the middle of Paris’ Dior store. Awks.

While her then-boyfriend Aleksandr Petrovsky bought her a new piece of jewellery to replace it, it couldn’t compare to the original – neither in our nor Carrie’s eyes.

Since the show drew to a close, it seems personalised necklaces have never strayed far from our minds thanks to Patricia Field.

Whether they showcase the wearer’s initials, names or star sign, the piece remains one of the easiest and chicest pieces of jewellery to wear.

Of course, they don’t have to say the wearer’s name. Jennifer Lopez was spotted wearing a necklace bearing the name Ben, in dedication to her boyfriend Ben Affleck.

Meanwhile the Kardashians often wear jewellery dedicated to their loved ones, whether it’s their children or romantic partners names, while Kim K has even bought her kids their own personalised jewellery.

Meanwhile, model Gigi Hadid opted for a ’90s take on the personalised name necklaces trend with pieces bearing her and her daughter’s names from jewellery brand Lottie. They feature freshwater pearls and golds but look just like the ones you may have made for your bestie in the ’90s. Check it out on the latest cover of InStyle magazine!

Love Island’s Millie Court also re-ignited the public’s love for zodiac necklaces, with her Sagittarius pendant making an impact.

So where can you buy one? Whether you’re looking to invest in a long-lasting piece of jewellery or simply want an affordable pre-pay day pick-me-up, there are plenty of places to buy personalised necklaces.

Here are our favourites. Almost all are available in both gold and silver, while there are some rose gold options too.
