Every day it seems like a new nail trend is popping up on my FYP, but not all trends are created equal.

Cellophane nails first caught my eye when I spotted Jennifer Lopez’s talons. The superstar’s nails had a holographic shine to them, and when I went to get my nails done next, my nail tech even suggested I get them. Coincidence? I think not.

Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik introduced us to this must-have mani when he posted J-Lo’s stunning cellophane nails on Instagram. This unique style features a combination of translucent and milky finishes, giving it a playful and ethereal appearance.

If it’s good enough for J-Lo, it’s definitely good enough for me!

This must-try manicure is a perfect combination of mermaidcore and glazed donut nails, so if you’re bored of nude nails, it’s definitely a step up. Next thing you know, you’ll be getting colourful nail art!

Personally I’ve always been a fan of nail art and bold, bright colors, but there’s something undeniably elegant and sophisticated about these soft glam nails. This trend offers a refreshing change, and I am not complaining.
