I’m a firm believer that it’s worth spending more on decent summer sandals.
A friend of mine has bought two pairs of the same high street dad sandals, and despite costing nearly £100, they both broke within a few months.

Spending a little more doesn’t need to mean thousands. Designer sandals can definitely cost less than £200, but they’ll last you a long, long time because unlike many high street brands, luxury labels use only the best materials.

You have a few options here. You can shop brand new sandals from brands like Ancient Greek Sandals, Birkenstock, Tory Burch, St Agi and Ganni, or you can buy second hand designer sandals.
The latter means you’ll get slightly more luxury brands for your money, and Vestiaire Collective is one of my favourite sites to find these on due to the sheer volume of pairs available. Plus, sellers are offering brands like Prada, Marni, Jimmy Choo and Balenciaga for under £200.
If you can’t be bothered to scroll through hundreds of sites and pages looking, keep reading. I’ve found the best pairs of designer sandals money can buy for less than £200, including both pre-loved and brand new styles.
Can you recycle beauty products at home?
This is where things get a littleee tricky. Beauty products are often packaged using a range of materials, some recyclable and some not e.g. your eyeshadow palette could be made using recyclable cardboard, but also mirrors and magnets which aren’t recyclable.
Your best bet is to check the label of the packaging to see if any of it is able to be recycled and separate it out that way.
Alternatively, some beauty retailers/brands are offering to do the hard work for you! Here are the ones that offer recycling schemes and how to utilise them.
