Puffer coats aren’t a particularly new trend, but they can still be tricky to pull off if you’re not sure how to wear them, so we’ve sought the help of a group of influencers for guidance on how to make your puffer seem less country-walk-on-a-rainy-day and more stylish-gal-in-the-city. If that’s what you’re into.
Whether long or short, these women show you how to wear the trend with style.

Tonal
Both Grace Victory and Chloe Pierre have styled this trend flawlessly, opting for head-to-toe tonal in a simple yet stylish look.
Both women have added heeled boots to smarten up the outfit, and Chloe’s shades are a great touch [above].
Max colour
Zeena Shah never hides away from bold colours and clashing prints (take a look at our guide to styling a sweater vest for more inspiration from her) and this look is no different [below].
Teaming a pink puffer with a pair printed trousers keeps the look fun, while casual accessories keeps it cool.
Jumpsuit it
We adore Thandi’s casual take on the puffer, laying it over a roll neck and jumpsuit and teaming the look with chunky boots [below].
While she’s opted to match her jacket and jumpsuit, this combo works well with contrasting colours too.
Make a statement
Let your puffer do the talking and team it with understated accessories and biker boots, like Debbie Le [below].
As the puffer is such a statement piece, this works well in any colour. Debbie’s gone for a black coat, but a colourful puffer would look just as good.

Skirted
While wearing your puffer with jeans or joggers may be the simplest way to wear it, we love it with a skirt too.
Karen has teamed hers with an oatmeal roll-neck knit, a check skirt and biker boots, and while this is an unexpected combination, it works so well [below].
Belt it
Not for the conservative dressers, Emili has belted her lilac gilet puffer to create shape [below].
This is a great idea if you’re worried puffers will look too boxy on your frame.
The street style star wears the coat over a pair of purple trousers and matches her white top with a pair of white heeled ankle boots for a perfectly balanced look.
