The best outfits from the Golden Globes 2021

Escape from lockdown with these incredible couture gowns.

The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards finally took place last night, two months after it was originally set to happen – and the looks on the socially distanced red carpet didn’t disappoint.

If you’re looking for escapism, the awards ceremony is the perfect place to start. Despite being in the midst of a global pandemic, gowns were extravagant, embellished and exaggerated.

From Cynthia Erivo’s fluorescent green Valentino gown, to Nicola Coughlan’s Molly Goddard pale yellow tulle dress, here are the outfits from the Golden Globes we just can’t get enough of.

Viola Davis wore a beautiful printed fishtail dress by Lavie by CK for the awards ceremony, complete with silver chain jewellery.

Elle Fanning looked elegant in an ice-blue satin Gucci gown, adding Fred Leighton jewellery to top it off.

Lily Collins wore an embellished cut-out Saint Laurent floor-length gown, with gold jewellery from Cartier.

Rosamund Pike wore a red tulle dress from Molly Goddard, toughened up with black brogues and a sharp bob cut.

Anya Taylor-Joy looked every bit a star in an emerald green gown by Dior with matching shoes. She teamed it with Tiffany & Co jewellery for a touch of ice.

We love Cynthia Erivo’s bright green Valentino gown, worn with white leather gloves and metallic silver platforms. The look was unique, bold and beautiful.

Rosamund Pike wasn’t the only star to wear Molly Goddard on the red carpet. Nicola Coughlan opted for a pale yellow gown from the designer, adding a black cardigan and bold pink eyeshadow for a feminine and finished final look.
