Want to dress like Barbie? I’ve got you. Greta Gerwig’s new movie Barbie, starring Margot Robbie as the infamous doll and Ryan Gosling as Ken, is now out in UK cinemas. Ever since the making of the film was even announced, everyone from Kim Kardashian to Dua Lipa have been embracing #Barbiecore and there’s been an explosion of pink on social media in the lead-up to its release. If you want to get the Barbie look, you’re definitely not alone.
So how does Barbie dress? As you’ve probably noticed she wears a lot of pink. Barbie’s outfits in the movie consist of some seriously iconic looks, like a pink and white gingham sun dress, a poppy pink jumpsuit, a disco-inspired sequin boilersuit and a western-inspired pink two-piece teamed with a cowboy hat and bandana. Zara’s new collaboration with Barbie drew inspiration from each of these looks, creating their own version of Barbie’s outfits and although most of the collection has sold out, you can definitely find the look elsewhere.
Below, I’m sharing some of Barbie’s best outfits from the movie and where to shop the look. Next, check out the best Barbie collabs of 2023, when Barbie x Crocs is dropping in the UK and a look at the Barbie x Zara collection in full.

Pink heels

Barbie always wears high heels, and these pretty pink shoes with diamante heels and fluffy detail are nothing short of adorable. I’ve found a few similar pairs on the high street that fit the bill, including a fluffy pair from Simmi Shoes for £40, a ruffled pair from Azalea Wang at £66, and a Sophia Webster pair that are on sale now for over half price.

Zara had a beautiful version of this dress in its Barbie collection, but sadly this has now sold out. Keep checking back for stock or check out reselling sites like Depop, eBay and Vinted and see if you can find it in your size! If not, I’ve found the next best pieces.
