While the festive season is still a little while away, we stand firm on the belief that it’s never too early to start the search for the perfect party dress.
December is the one time of year that it’s completely normal (if not mandatory) to go all-out. We’re talking sequins, feathers, velvet, satin and did I mention sequins? The more OTT the better!
Is it really even festive season if you don’t treat yourself to a new party dress? (or three).
So, while we have plenty of time and aren’t plagued by last minute panic shopping (Asos next day delivery anyone) we’ve decided to do an edit of the best Christmas party dresses on the high street right now.
Between work Christmas parties, friends nights out, boozy brunches and family dinners our December calendars book up fast and we just want to make sure we have some stellar party dress options at the ready.
Finding the perfect party dresses can however be slightly daunting with the overwhelming amount of choice out there, sometimes it can be hard to know which dresses to avoid and which should be going straight in your basket.
In my opinion December = just add sparkles. Wearing sequins or embellishments are a sure fire way to ensure all eyes will be on you.
One thing for sure is that nothing says silly season quite like a sequin dress so if you’re going to make one purchase this festive season make it a sequin party dress.
They’re very easy to wear and can be paired with tights and boots for a cozy look or with heels for an all out look. They’re perfect for all types of Christmas parties.
My personal favourite trend of the year is the feather-trimmed dress, and lucky for me there all over the high street right now.
Another option is to go for something a little less all eyes on you, something that you’ll be able to reuse again and again. Think opulent reds and greens in satins and velvet, festive enough for the Christmas period but versatile enough that you’ll be able to wear them all year long.
So, whether you’re going hardcore glam for the annual girls night out, classic chic for the work Christmas party or just dressing up to stay in, we’ve got you covered.
Our edit is full to the brim of sparkles, metallic, feathered, bedazzled and embellished looks with lots of classic silk, satin and velvet designs for good measure.

These will ensure you dazzle this festive season wherever you’re headed.
