Wondering which boots will be trending for Autumn Winter 2023? Wonder no more, as after careful research, I’m here to lay it all out for you. Chunky soles have been around for a long old while now, and I don’t know about you, but I’m into it. I prefer biker boots over stiletto heels and always have done, so you probably won’t see me walking around in thigh-high boots anytime soon although I love them on other people.

Biker boots
This season, punk-inspired boots are back. The laces have been swapped for shining buckles, and there’s bonus points if your boots have lots of them. They don’t have to be flat either; there are plenty of heeled styles that come with an edge. Wear yours with slip dresses and mini skirts to balance out the look.

Cowboy boots are a wardrobe staple at this point and can be worn with pretty much anything, whether you’re going to a festival or a coffee with mates. What I love most about the trend is the variation; you might think western boots are a clearly defined style, but it’s the colours that make them so different. From hand-painted and vintage styles to more modern metallics, they’re certainly not short of personality.

Over-the-knee boots
After spotting them at almost every runway show for AW23, it’s undeniable that knee-high boots are having their moment. Let yours do the talking (as well as the walking) by teaming them with dresses and skirts, or wearing them over your trousers so they can be fully appreciated.
