If you’re anything like us, you’ll have grown tired of the craze for minimalism in fashion that’s been hanging around over the past few years. In 2021, we’re swapping neutrals for pastels and embracing the cotton candy hues from head-to-toe.

We’ve been obsessing over Gucci’s beautiful rubber sandals ever since they were re-launched last year, and this summer feels like the time to commit to a new pair. But while we’d love to splash out on the designer shoes, it’s been a tough year and we’re saving our pennies where we can.

When did the Gucci rubber sandals come out?

While it became immensely popular in 2021, the Gucci rubber sandals were actually first launched by the Italian fashion house in 1921 — that’s a full century ago!

We think they’ll be even more popular now since many of us have been needing an excuse to flex our maximalist-style muscles after getting cooped up in our homes and living hermit-like in our loungewear (and sleepwear).

Gucci rubber sandals for less

We have a knack for finding affordable designer dupes, so as soon as we spotted the Gucci sandals, we started looking for high street copies.

There are so many baby pink, blue and black rubber sandals on the market now from stores such as Ego, Public Desire and ASOS that we had to share them with you too. If you’re not ready to give up on minimalism, there are some cute cream pairs that we love too.

Here are 8 of our favourites you can buy right now – and if you love those, you should check out these Prada loafers lookalikes.
