Which jeans are in trend in 2023?
First and foremost, it should be the jeans you love wearing. Baggy, skinny, low-rise, high-waisted, puddle pants, barrel leg, under dresses…whatever style you love, wear it.
At Wear Next, we encourage you to wear what makes you feel like you. But there’s no denying trends are ever-changing, even when it comes to our trusty jeans.
So what styles are trending this year? As expected, skinny and tight-fitting styles aren’t a huge feature. While us millennials held onto them as long as we could, it does come as a slight relief that we’re edging towards comfort in 2023.
Y2K-inspired styles make up the bulk of the styles seen on the streets and catwalks, including baggy styles, multi-tonal patchwork denim, puddle jeans and (the less wearable?) low-cut jeans.
The nod to previous decades is undeniable, pervading almost every jeans trend this year. Whether or not you choose to adopt these styles is entirely up to you, of course.
I love a pair of jeans that holds me in, so low cut styles aren’t for me, but patchwork styles? Yes please!
So let’s delve in. Here are the biggest styles of the year and where to buy them. If you want more, check out our edit of the best women’s jeans of 2023, including petite, tall, plus-size, sustainable, designer and high-street pairs we love.
