If there’s one accessory that can instantly transform a look, it’s sunglasses.
You might think of them as being a luxury – and of course they can be – but for me personally, I can’t be without a pair.
The ever-changing sunglasses trends of each year really summarise the era we’re in. For 2023, the eyewear trends are bold and ultra-fun, with inflated frames, tinted lenses and 70s-style shades making an appearance again.
We can’t forget the trend for futuristic glasses too, as modelled by their no.1 fan Bella Hadid.

XXL frames
Loewe’s inflated frames were one of the most popular sunglasses trends amongst the fashion set at Fashion Week back in September, with Leonie Hanne and Ellie Delphine amongst the trend-setters.
They’re definitely not for everyone, but I kinda love them!
Dior has a similar pair of chunky frames in a more toned-down black for those not ready to jump into wearing the bold yellow or cobalt blue shades.

Whatever colour you choose, you’re in good company. The trend has been worn by Hailey Bieber, Victoria Beckham, and Gigi Hadid.

Lihi Kopel, Eyewear Designer, GlassesUSA.com, says: “In years since Covid hit, society has changed; more people wear activewear every day. Activewear has merged into street culture, and that includes eyewear.”

Jake Lawrence, frames buyer at Boots Opticians, told Metro: “2023 eyewear will focus on two key colour trends: bold and bright, and soft pastels.
