2021 Trends: 13 halter neck tops to wear to embrace 90s fashion

It’s hard not to sound like a broken record when practically all the trends of 2021 link back to 90s fashion. Chunky sandals, shoulder bags, rectangle sunglasses and cargo pants are just some of the pieces we’re seeing returning to the forefront of fashion this year and now joining them are halter neck tops.

The 90s staple first popped up on reselling sites such as Depop and eBay, with vintage offerings proving popular amongst savvy shoppers. As expected, the high street quickly caught on with updated iterations of the trend available for summer 2021.

As always, Zara has some beautiful printed halter neck top options, while there are plenty of minimal black styles from brands such as Urban Outfitters and NA-KD too. If you haven’t spotted it already, sustainable it brand House of Sunny recently released a collection of pretty pastel pieces including a handkerchief crochet top to die for.
