It's coat season!

Last Updated on October 11, 2023

Searching for a new coat this autumn winter 2023? You’ve come to the right place. Like everyone, I’m dreading the thought of the long cold winter months ahead – but one thing that’s making the change of season a little easier is the thought of all the new autumn winter coats and jackets to choose from to keep us cosy this winter.

The cooler winter months are a great excuse to update our wardrobe with some practical yet chic outerwear. After all, if there’s one thing the weather can guarantee in the UK, it’s the need for a good winter coat (or ten). Based on the biggest coat trends this season, I’ve rounded up the best outerwear the new season the has to offer. I’ll also be showing you exactly where to find the high street versions as you don’t need to break the bank and spend a fortune to find a decent one either.

I’m a big coat lover myself and after buying one every year, I’ve built up quite the selection. Your winter coat will see you through it all, so it’s worth investing in a good one. Not all coats have to be really practical (although warm coats are always a good idea); you can have fun with them too!

Keep scrolling for the best coats I’ve come across on my annual coat hunt, whether you’re in the market for an everyday trench, long black number or something more fun. Hopefully there’s something for everyone in this list.

Next, read about the biggest autumn winter 2023 bag trendsshoe trendsknitwear and boots trends next to pair with your new coat or jacket – plus the best autumn jackets on the market right now.

Oversized = better. I can never fault loose-fit clothing, which is why I fell in love with this coat from ASOS. The borg collar adds a dose of casual to an otherwise super smart coat.
