There were so many powerful and stunning looks at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January 2021, but Amanda Gorman’s headband was one of the most talked-about fashion pieces of the political event.
The 22-year-old poet, who performed The Hill We Climb at the ceremony, wore a bright red Prada hair accessory as she did, sparking viewers to talk non-stop about it on social media.
One user called it ‘gorgeous’ and added, ‘I can’t stop thinking about how it looked like a halo,’ while others shared images of their red headbands, inspired by Gorman’s killer style.

Since January, she broke the Internet again when she wore a yellow plaited and embellished headband as she celebrated the launch of her book The Hill We Climb.
24 hours after wearing the hair accessory in questions, it had completely sold out (but we found some dupes here if you want to steal Amanda’s style).
The star has since cemented her title as style icon by being tipped to host Vogue‘s Met Gala in September 2021.
Since Amanda brought the headband back, searches for them have risen an incredible 560 per cent.
In homage of the incredibly talented woman and her inauguration outfit, we’ve found 9 of the best headbands available to buy now – including the exact one she wore for the ceremony. We can’t believe it’s still available either.
