If you’re looking to go on a spending spree, Zara will do it.
The high street brand has new pieces dropping every single week, so it’s pretty difficult to pop into the store or on the website without finding something you love almost immediately.

If you’re anything like me, there will be one item you’ll fall head over heels in love with. I often find myself unable to stop thinking about a particular item, and that’s when I know it’s the one for me.
If you’re not quick, many Zara items sell out almost instantly. There are particularly popular pieces, like that pink satin dress. Often, you’ll find them on reselling sites for twice the original price.
To avoid missing out, you might wait for Zara to bring those items back – but does the brand restock? Here’s what we know.
Does Zara restock sold-out items?
According to Style Democracy, Zara never restocks items from Women’s Studio that are over $200. However, as an avid Zara shopper, I know that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Zara’s business model works by avoiding restocking items to encourage you to buy them when you see them, but there are ways around this.
If you see something in-store, I do recommend you buy it as it may not be there the next week. But if you’re shopping online, it’s much easier. If you keep checking on an item, you might notice it come back into stock very briefly, in which case you should nab it to avoid being disappointed.

This is because online shoppers often return pieces once they’ve tried them on.
You can also sign up for stock alerts on specific items, so you’ll receive an email when an item comes back into stock.
Marie Claire also claims that if an item does particularly well in one season, it might be repeated the following year. If you don’t want to wait 12 months to get it, though, I’d buy it the first time around.
Does Zara restock sizes?
Even if the item you’ve got your eye on is in stock, your size might not be. However, there is a way to know if it will be restocked. Former Zara employees have spilt some secrets on how you can get notifications on sold-out sizes.
The former employees shared with Marie Claire that items on the verge of being re-stocked have a ‘coming soon’ message with an envelope icon next to the sold-out size. All you need to do is click on it, add your email, and you’ll get an alert if it gets re-stocked.

Of course, this doesn’t mean the item will be yours. Only a few items would have the ‘coming soon’ message, and you won’t be the only one notified once there are available sizes. So, you need to act quick and add to cart before it’s gone.
How often does Zara restock?
If you’re talking about the store, this happens twice a week.
According to Who What Wear, this usually happens in stores on a Monday and Thursday. It’s better to head to stores earlier rather than later, as staff are allegedly there from 7 am unboxing new stock and putting it on the shop floor for 9.30 am.
What time does Zara restock online?
Similarly to the replenishment of stock in-stores, new stock drops early in the morning or overnight on Zara.com.
It’s best to keep tabs on the website early in the morning if you’re looking for something in particular but restocks tend to happen throughout the day as returns are processed.

Does Zara take holds?
Unfortunately, the brand doesn’t hold items. One user on Twitter asked the same question, and Zara clarified that they don’t allow holds for store pick-ups.
If you’re shopping online, you save an item in your wishlist. However, it doesn’t guarantee that it will be in stock or restocked.
How do I save items on Zara?
To save an item on your wish list, log into your account and click the bookmark icon. From there, you can remove items from your list at any time by clicking the “edit” option.
