We’ve always had a thing for crochet dresses, so we couldn’t be happier they’re back in 2021.
Glastonbury festival might be cancelled for the second year running, but that doesn’t mean we can’t embrace the boho look this year. Crochet is one of SS21’s key trends and in our opinion, a dress is the easiest way to wear it.
Take a leaf out of Rihanna’s book. The pop superstar and business mogul recently posted a pic of herself in a halter-necked, body-hugging crochet number paired with a pair of Bottega Veneta lace-up leather-trimmed mesh pumps, and it set the tone for summer dressing for us.

Rihanna’s fellow business mogul Kylie Jenner followed suit with a crochet dress in a similar colour, albeit in a cut that’s a bit more risqué, while on a seaside vacation.
Luxury brands Bottega Veneta, Fendi, and Valentino have crochet on their minds too, with the designers utilising it for their SS21 collections.

We’re so glad the hippy ‘70s trend is back, now with a modern touch. This summer, crochet dresses come in modern, creative silhouettes and a rainbow of colours — but they’re still as easy and breezy to wear as ever.
It’s not just the designers that are giving us options. High street and indie brands are armed with their crochet creations too. Here are our top picks from Cro-che, Urban Outfitters, Zara and more.
